About the role#
This is a summer engineering internship supporting the research and development of Microwave RF products. You will join the Corning Advanced Optics mechanical design team to work on new designs for RF Microwave connectors while optimizing fabrication and metrology methods.
What you'll do#
- Perform mechanical design and engineering tasks.
- Support prototyping and new product introduction.
- Conduct design of experiments.
- Provide modeling and analysis support for RF interconnect designs.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Optical, Manufacturing, or Engineering Science.
- Relevant coursework in these fields.
- Working knowledge of engineering tools such as Solidworks, ANSYS, MATLAB, or similar software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Availability for 10 weeks during Summer 2027.
- A graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- Interest in potential full-time employment with Corning after graduation.

- This role is located in Glendale, Arizona.
- This is an on-site, full-time position.
- The internship is paid.
