Corning Incorporated is seeking a Law Intern for the Summer 2026 program. This role provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a corporate legal environment while working under the guidance of senior attorneys. The internship is designed for first-year and second-year law students who are eager to develop their legal skills in a professional setting.
What you'll do#
- Assist with legal research and draft legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and briefs.
- Attend client meetings, court proceedings, and other legal events.
- Review and organize case files and manage relevant documentation.
- Support attorneys with trial preparation and case management tasks.
- Analyze and summarize legal issues for review by the legal team.
- Assist in the preparation of legal opinions and advice.
- Maintain the confidentiality of all legal documents and client information.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in an accredited law school pursuing a JD.
- Strong academic performance.
- Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills.
- Proficiency in legal research software such as Westlaw or LexisNexis.
- Strong time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- High level of professionalism and commitment to confidentiality.

- Location: Charlotte, North Carolina.
- Term: Summer 2026 (10 weeks, May–July 2026).
- Work Modality: On-site.
- Employment Type: Full-time, paid internship.
