Law Department Intern - Summer 2026

About the role#

Corning Incorporated is seeking a Law Intern for the Summer 2026 program. This role provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a corporate legal environment while working under the guidance of senior attorneys. The internship is designed for first-year and second-year law students who are eager to develop their legal skills in a professional setting.

What you'll do#

• Assist with legal research and draft legal documents, including contracts, pleadings, and briefs.
• Attend client meetings, court proceedings, and other legal events.
• Review and organize case files and manage relevant documentation.
• Support attorneys with trial preparation and case management tasks.
• Analyze and summarize legal issues for review by the legal team.
• Assist in the preparation of legal opinions and advice.
• Maintain the confidentiality of all legal documents and client information.

What you'll need#

• Enrollment in an accredited law school pursuing a JD.
• Strong academic performance.
• Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills.
• Proficiency in legal research software such as Westlaw or LexisNexis.
• Strong time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• High level of professionalism and commitment to confidentiality.

• Location: Charlotte, North Carolina.
• Term: Summer 2026 (10 weeks, May–July 2026).
• Work Modality: On-site.
