About the role#
This IT internship focuses on cyber security operations within the glass, ceramics, and concrete manufacturing industry. You will support the global IT function by managing security data, validating compliance, and assisting with infrastructure migration projects. This is a full-time, paid, on-site position for Summer 2026.
What you'll do#
- Analyze, clean, organize, and process data derived from Splunk queries.
- Migrate data into user-friendly interfaces that support modification workflows.
- Use Power BI, Qualys, and Active Directory to verify user access permissions and validate security compliance for quarterly audits.
- Develop planning and tracking tools to support legacy server migration processes.
- Coordinate directly with server owners to facilitate migration planning.
What you'll need#
- Minimum of one year completed toward a BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Cybersecurity.
- Expected graduation date of December 2026 or later.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
- Proficiency in data analysis and visualization methodologies, with experience in Power BI or Power Apps.
- Familiarity with VBA, SQL, and PowerShell scripting languages.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Interest in pursuing a full-time career with Corning, Inc. after graduation.
