About the role#
This IT internship focuses on cyber security operations within a global manufacturing environment. You will support the IT function by managing security data, auditing access permissions, and assisting with infrastructure migration projects. This is a paid, full-time, on-site role based in Charlotte, North Carolina.
What you'll do#
- Analyze, clean, and organize data retrieved from Splunk queries.
- Migrate data into interfaces that support user-friendly review, modification, and management workflows.
- Use Power BI, Qualys, and Active Directory to verify user access permissions and validate security compliance for quarterly audits.
- Develop planning and tracking tools to support legacy server migration processes.
- Coordinate with server owners to facilitate migration planning and ensure operational continuity.
What you'll need#
- Completed at least one year of a BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Cybersecurity.
- Graduation date of December 2026 or later.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
- Proficiency or familiarity with Power BI, Power Apps, VBA, SQL, and PowerShell.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Availability for the full 10-week program from May 27, 2026, to July 31, 2026.
- Willingness to work on-site in Charlotte, NC.
- Interest in pursuing full-time employment with Corning after graduation.
