About the role#
As a Global Planning Intern, you will work with the Global Planning team to develop insights and improve planning processes. You will help align demand, supply, capacity, and inventory considerations across the business. This role supports customer supply chain management for key customers during a period of growth. You will collaborate with cross-functional partners to analyze data and contribute to initiatives that improve service, execution, and decision-making in a global supply chain environment.
What you'll do#
- Support the Global Planning team with analysis related to demand, supply, capacity, and inventory.
- Assist with customer supply chain management activities for key hyperscale data center customers.
- Gather, organize, and validate data used in planning, forecast discussions, and customer supply reviews.
- Support work related to forecast accuracy, inventory optimization, and supply chain performance tracking.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and planning summaries.
- Partner with planning, manufacturing, supply chain, and operations teams on project work.
- Contribute to initiatives related to planning processes, systems, and operational efficiency.
- Assist with KPI tracking to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Document action items and key takeaways from cross-functional meetings.
- Provide analytical and project support for strategic or operational supply chain initiatives.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations, Data Science, or a related field.
- Graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Excel.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively across teams and manage multiple priorities.
- Interest in supply chain planning, customer operations, or manufacturing.
- Interest in working for Corning, Inc after graduation.
- Experience with SAP, data visualization tools, or analytical tools is a plus.
- Must be available for 10 weeks during Summer 2027 (May-August 2027).
