About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in facility engineering and management. You will work alongside our engineering team to support maintenance, design, and improvement projects. The goal is to ensure the safety and efficiency of our facility operations while you gain practical exposure to industrial systems.
What you'll do#
- Inspect, maintain, and troubleshoot facility systems, including HVAC, plumbing, mechanical equipment, and electrical systems.
- Work with engineers and technicians to design and implement facility improvement projects.
- Track building performance and energy efficiency, then propose solutions to improve sustainability and lower costs.
- Maintain engineering documentation, such as CAD drawings, schematics, equipment manuals, and reports.
- Support preventive maintenance by tracking schedules, documenting issues, and assisting with repairs.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an accredited program, entering your Junior or Senior year.
- A major in Facility Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
- Basic understanding of engineering principles, building systems, and technical drawings.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with software tools like AutoCAD or SolidWorks is preferred.
