About the role#
The EH&S Co-Op provides support to the environmental, health, and safety function at the Keene manufacturing facility. You will work alongside Maintenance, Facilities, Engineering, and Operations teams to assist with compliance, safety programs, and risk reduction. This role offers practical experience in a manufacturing setting while helping the site maintain safety standards and improve internal processes.
What you'll do#
- Assist with hazardous, universal, and non-hazardous waste activities, including inspections and labeling.
- Participate in safety compliance inspections, workplace observations, job hazard reviews, and incident investigations.
- Support the site EHS management system by performing data entry in Gensuite and updating the compliance calendar.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on EHS project support and risk reduction activities.
- Complete an internship project and present your findings and recommendations to site leadership.
What you'll need#
- Active enrollment in a college or university program pursuing a degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Ability to work part-time during the school year and full-time during the summer.
- An interest in manufacturing safety, environmental compliance, industrial hygiene, facilities, maintenance, or engineering support.
- Effective written communication and presentation skills.
