About the role#
As a Digital & IT Intern at the Wilmington manufacturing plant, you will join the Manufacturing IT team to support onsite development efforts. This role focuses on bridging the gap between technical solutions and operational needs. You will gain hands-on experience by working directly with engineering and operations stakeholders to address real-world manufacturing challenges.
What you'll do#
- Partner with Manufacturing IT, engineering, and operations stakeholders to identify onsite development needs.
- Support the development or enhancement of software, applications, interfaces, and technical solutions for plant processes.
- Assist with the full project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, solution design, coding, testing, and implementation.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Document technical requirements, testing results, and support procedures.
- Participate in project planning and team collaboration to communicate progress and outcomes.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate program for Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
- A graduation date of December 2027 or later.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Ability to learn new technologies, business concepts, and processes quickly.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Self-motivation and a willingness to take initiative.
