    About the role#

    As a Digital & IT Intern at the Hemlock Solar Plant, you will join the Manufacturing IT team to support the technology services that keep our facility running. You will work on projects ranging from manufacturing execution systems and reporting to cloud data platforms and workflow automation. This internship offers hands-on experience with enterprise technologies and the opportunity to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams.

    What you'll do#

    • Learn the solar wafer manufacturing process and how technology supports plant operations.
    • Support enhancements, configuration, or development within the manufacturing execution system.
    • Assist with troubleshooting issues that affect manufacturing departments and physical processes.
    • Create or enhance reports and data visualizations using tools such as Power BI, SSRS, or AVEVA PI Vision.
    • Use SQL and database concepts to support data interactions and query development.
    • Contribute to custom solutions, full-stack applications, or web development based on business needs.
    • Support interactions with infrastructure, hardware, and plant technology systems.
    • Explore digital tools like Databricks or Microsoft Power Automate to improve plant processes.
    • Document technical work, testing, findings, and recommendations.

    What you'll need#

    • Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Analytics.
    • A graduation date of December 2027 or later.
    • Availability to work on-site for 10 weeks during Summer 2027.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a willingness to take initiative.

    • Location: Hemlock, Michigan.
    • Term: Summer 2027 (10 weeks).
    • Modality: On-site.
    • Compensation: This is a paid position. The biweekly pay range is $1,635.00 to $3,185.00, depending on your year in school and location.
    • Sponsorship: This position does not provide immigration sponsorship.
