About the role#
Corning is hiring an Architecture Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. You will support planning activities for a large-scale building renovation master plan at Sullivan Park. This role involves architectural planning, space analysis, and documentation of existing conditions. You will work with internal teams and external partners to evaluate renovation options, focusing on functionality and infrastructure constraints.
What you'll do#
- Assist with building layout reviews and document existing facility conditions.
- Participate in site walkdowns to assess renovation needs and space opportunities.
- Prepare drawings, presentations, and reports for stakeholder discussions.
- Collect and organize building and infrastructure data to inform planning.
- Support project coordination by tracking actions, timelines, and deliverables.
- Maintain organized project files and documentation.
- Evaluate conceptual renovation options regarding building use and adjacencies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Industrial, Civil, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering, or Construction Management.
- Coursework or studio experience in building systems, renovation, or facilities planning.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Familiarity with reading floor plans and technical documents.
- Exposure to AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to interpret technical information and manage multiple tasks.
