About the role#
The Finance Intern role supports both the Corporate Accounting and Project Accounting teams. You will gain experience in the monthly close process, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. This position involves rotating between corporate close tasks and project-accounting activities to understand how construction ERP systems record costs, billing, and the general ledger. You will report to the Finance department in Orlando.
What you'll do#
- Assist with month-end and year-end close by preparing workpapers and supporting schedules.
- Prepare or update balance-sheet reconciliations.
- Generate, format, and check reports from the ERP system.
- Provide AP/AR support, including invoice coding and payment-run assistance.
- Gather cost backup, committed-cost support, and change-order documentation.
- Assist with job-cost reports, billing backup, and unbilled or retainage schedules.
- Support updates to project reporting packs and track extra-work billing formats.
- Maintain files and document steps for recurring tasks.
- Support audit or internal-request pull lists.
What you'll need#
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, including pivot tables and basic formulas.
- Strong organization and time management skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication.
- Interest in both general-ledger accounting and project or job-cost accounting.
- Coursework in financial accounting is preferred, while construction or managerial accounting is a plus.
- Experience with a construction ERP or job-cost system is a plus.

- Compensation: This is a paid internship.
