About the role#
Constellium is looking for a Metallurgical Engineering intern for the Summer 2027 term in Ravenswood, West Virginia. You will join the Process Development Metallurgy section within the Quality Department. This role offers exposure to various parts of the aluminum manufacturing process and collaboration with teams across the facility, including manufacturing units, research centers, and customer application engineers.
What you'll do#
Your primary project will focus on developing a new product or improving the capability of an existing one. You will:
- Design and implement trials and experiments.
- Use industry testing methods like tensile, fatigue, and corrosion analysis.
- Perform structured problem solving and analytical data review.
- Translate customer requirements into critical process variables.
- Establish process controls.
- Present and communicate your research results to the team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a degree program for Materials Science, Metallurgy, or Chemical Engineering.
- Experience with industry testing methods.
- Ability to perform structured problem solving.
- Understanding of analytical analysis.
- Capacity to translate customer requirements into critical process variables.
