About the role#
ConnectPrep is looking for a Data Analyst Intern to join our team. This role bridges technical analysis and educational instruction. You will work with our educators to validate models that drive our analytics and help build tools that identify student academic needs. You will contribute to our data infrastructure and help us use data to improve educational outcomes.
What you'll do#
- Validate and iterate on the models that drive our analytics.
- Build modules to identify student academic needs based on data insights.
- Create data infrastructure and generate analytics reports.
- Use AI tools and workflows to support data-driven decision-making.
- Perform data mining and cleaning from internal and external sources.
- Support projects related to AI and chatbot development.
- Conduct SEO and keyword research to track performance and growth.
- Prepare dashboards and summary reports based on website analytics.
- Assist with data analysis for marketing campaigns, content performance, and business operations.
- Test, document, and iterate on new data and AI workflows.
What you'll need#
- Current student or graduate in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
- Strong quantitative skills and high attention to detail.
- Experience with SQL or Python data tools like Pandas or NumPy.
- Ability to build simple data pipelines or analysis scripts in Python.
- Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, charting, data tables, simulations, and Solver.
- Curiosity about how data improves student outcomes and a desire for creative problem solving.
- Interest in technology and AI.
- Bonus points for experience with VBA, macros, web analytics tools, data visualization software, or SEO platforms.
- Prior experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or marketing analytics is helpful.

- This is a remote, paid, full-time internship.
- The position follows a rolling term schedule.
