About the role#
Condon-Johnson & Associates is hiring a Construction Intern to join our team in Los Angeles. This is a paid position at $25 per hour. You will work on-site, supporting our geotechnical construction projects through a mix of office and field tasks.
What you'll do#
- Support Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Estimators with daily operations.
- Prepare preliminary designs and quantity takeoffs for project estimates.
- Request and obtain quotes for necessary materials.
- Manage material orders and deliveries.
- Perform quality control checks on-site.
- Ensure safety compliance across project sites.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a BS or MS program for Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
- Strong critical thinking and organizational skills with an eye for detail.
- Clear written and verbal communication abilities.
- A self-motivated approach to tasks and goals.
- Ability to adapt to changing environments and project needs.
- Interest in pursuing a career as a Project Manager and obtaining a PE license.
