About the role#
As a Student Nurse Technician at CHI Health Plainview, you will gain hands-on clinical experience while providing direct patient care support under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This role is based in our Medical, Surgical, and Telemetry department at our 15-bed critical access facility.
What you'll do#
- Provide direct patient care, including personal hygiene, bathing, feeding, and physical comfort.
- Assist with patient mobility, such as turning, lifting, transferring, and ambulation.
- Prepare patients, equipment, and supplies for procedures and exams.
- Monitor, report, and document clinical activities and changes in patient conditions to the RN.
- Help nursing staff with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
- Maintain an organized work environment by ordering and stocking supplies.
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives and ongoing professional education.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in good standing in a nursing program or recent graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- One of the following current Nebraska credentials: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Registered Nurse (RN).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification.

- Compensation: 15.67 to 22.14 USD per hour.
