DOD SkillBridge Program - Sales Internship

About the role#

This internship is part of the DOD SkillBridge Program, designed to support active military personnel in transitioning to civilian careers within the medical equipment manufacturing industry. Interns will support field sales and marketing teams through new business development and customer support initiatives. Participants will gain exposure to various areas of the business, including Veteran’s Affairs sales, Continence Care, and marketing.

What you'll do#

• Educate and train physicians, surgeons, hospital personnel, and office staff on the technical aspects of Coloplast products.
• Develop and maintain long-term relationships with target accounts to increase product utilization.
• Interact with healthcare professionals, including surgeons, doctors, nurses, technicians, and procurement staff.
• Manage administrative tasks, including inventory tracking, sales reporting, and expense management.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with vendor credentialing requirements for medical facilities.
• Provide support during medical procedures and surgeries as requested, while adhering to all operating room protocols.

What you'll need#

• Must be active military and an approved participant in the DOD SkillBridge Program.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong interpersonal, customer service, and consultative selling skills.
• Ability to travel domestically and overnight up to 50% of the time.
• Preferred majors include Business Administration, Marketing, Health Administration, Psychology, or Sociology.
