About the role#
Civil Design, Inc. is hiring a Civil Engineering Intern for the Summer 2027 term. This position supports our various engineering service lines, including Site, Transportation, Structures, and Water Resources. You will work under supervision to contribute to project development while gaining hands-on experience in the field and office.
What you'll do#
- Assist with surveying tasks to support active design projects.
- Provide engineering support for a variety of design and construction initiatives.
- Collaborate with team members across different service lines.
- Participate in 3.5 days of dedicated development opportunities, including networking events and industry panels.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a full or part time student in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Fundamental knowledge of civil engineering, surveying, drafting, and construction practices.
- Ability to work on job sites or in the field as required.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment.
- Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work 30 to 40 hours per week.
- Experience with AutoCAD or Microstation is preferred.

- Location: Louisville, Kentucky.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: Paid position, ranging from $22 to $24 per hour depending on experience and education.
