About the role#
The City Students Pastor leads the student ministry at the Spring Hill campus. You will provide direction, leadership, and care for middle and high school students, their families, and the ministry team. This role oversees weekly programming, events, and volunteer development to create a space where students grow in faith and community. This is a full-time position with a Sunday through Thursday schedule, requiring availability on Wednesday evenings.
What you'll do#
- Provide overall leadership for the Middle and High School Ministry.
- Develop and implement strategies for student engagement, discipleship, and leadership development.
- Oversee weekly gatherings, small group environments, and the Middle School Learning Community.
- Lead the development of teaching content and teach regularly as part of the City Students Teaching Team.
- Manage major events including retreats, summer camp, and The WKND.
- Launch and lead Youth Alpha and develop local outreach strategies.
- Lead, develop, and care for the staff team and volunteers through meetings and training.
- Build relationships with students and partner with parents to support their role as the primary spiritual influence.
- Oversee the Operations Coordinator and manage the ministry budget.
What you'll need#
- High school diploma or equivalent, with a baccalaureate degree preferred.
- Experience in related fields, education, or training that qualifies you for the role.
- A Christian lifestyle in submission to the authority of the Scriptures and the Holy Spirit.
- Agreement with the Church of the City Statement of Faith.
- Demonstrated experience in effective communication, emotional intelligence, and conflict resolution.
- Proficiency with Google Suite.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines.
- Willingness to become a church stakeholder within six months of hire.
