About the role#
The City Students Coordinator works with the City Students Pastor to manage the daily operations of the student ministry at the Spring Hill campus. You will maintain the systems that keep small groups running, oversee events, and lead care for students, including those with specific behavioral or special needs. This is a full-time position with a Sunday through Thursday schedule. Wednesday evenings are required.
What you'll do#
- Manage small group rosters, student and leader placement, and attendance tracking in Planning Center.
- Handle weekly leader RSVPs and group coverage.
- Oversee the volunteer workflow, including background checks and protection interview scheduling.
- Support leader care through meal trains, cards, and birthday gifts.
- Plan and execute small group experiences, such as dinners.
- Manage all aspects of student events, camps, and retreats, including registrations, waitlists, scholarships, and post-event reports.
- Secure necessary permits, rooms, and police officers for events.
- Provide pastoral care and follow-up for students.
- Recruit, train, and oversee leaders for City Friends, a program for students with special needs.
- Assist in leading the Student Leadership team.
- Report attendance and metrics to leadership.
- Attend weekly check-ins, staff meetings, and pastoral care meetings.
What you'll need#
- A Christian who is in submission to the authority of the Scriptures and the Holy Spirit and agrees with the Church of the City Statement of Faith.
- High school diploma or equivalent, though a baccalaureate degree is preferred.
- Proficiency with Google Suite.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication, emotional intelligence, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
- Willingness to become a church stakeholder within six months of hire.
- Ability to lift or carry up to 20lbs, sit for extended periods, and move about to complete tasks.
