About the role#
Church & Dwight is offering a graduate co-op opportunity within our Global Technology & Analytics team. This position begins in late May 2027 and runs through March 2028. You will work with technology, data, and business professionals to explore, prototype, and test AI solutions for real-world business challenges. The role includes professional development, networking events, and a final capstone presentation with leadership.
What you'll do#
- Build and test applications using generative AI, large language models, and related technologies.
- Develop and prototype AI and machine learning solutions to address business needs.
- Prepare, transform, and retrieve structured and unstructured data for AI applications.
- Write clean, maintainable code using Python, SQL, and other relevant languages.
- Create prompts, workflows, and evaluation methods to improve AI-generated outputs.
- Explore APIs, AI/ML frameworks, embeddings, vector databases, RAG, and AI agents.
- Assess AI solutions for accuracy, reliability, safety, and business value.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Document technical approaches, test results, and recommendations.
- Present findings and insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Research emerging AI capabilities to identify opportunities for responsible use.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a master’s program in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Programming experience with Python or another relevant language.
- Foundational knowledge of machine learning, artificial intelligence, or data science.
- Experience working with data and developing technical solutions to complex problems.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- US work authorization is required.
- Preferred: Hands-on experience with generative AI, LLMs, or applied AI projects.
- Preferred: Familiarity with APIs and frameworks such as Azure OpenAI, OpenAI, Hugging Face, or LangChain.
- Preferred: Exposure to RAG, embeddings, vector databases, prompt engineering, or model evaluation.
- Preferred: Knowledge of cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
- Preferred: Experience with Git, version control, and modern software development practices.
- Preferred: Familiarity with tools such as SQL, Power BI, Databricks, or Microsoft Fabric.
Location & details#
- This is a full-time, paid co-op position.
- The schedule is hybrid in Ewing, New Jersey, during Summer 2027 and remote during school semesters.
- A housing stipend is provided for students whose residential address is more than 30 miles from the work site.
