About the role#
This internship in Corsica, South Dakota, offers a hands-on look at the grain industry. You will work directly with our Grain Originator to engage with local producers, secure grain, and build marketing strategies. This is a full-time, paid position for the summer of 2026.
What you'll do#
- Procure grain from local producers and reach out to new accounts.
- Update producers on market trends, grain quotes, and marketing plans.
- Assist with reporting and typing purchasing contracts with speed and accuracy.
- Help with rail billing and grain sales settlements.
- Coordinate with elevator and office staff to support grain flow.
- Provide customer service to patrons in a professional manner.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Ag Business, Crop Science, or related agriculture degree program.
- Strong communication skills.
- An interest in the agriculture industry.
- Previous experience with crops or grain is helpful.
- Prior internship experience is a plus.
