About the role#
This internship provides hands-on experience in grain origination and agronomy operations. You will work alongside our team to support local producers, manage inventory, and learn the logistics of the agricultural supply chain. This is a paid position designed to help you build practical skills and gain insight into how our business supports the agricultural industry.
What you'll do#
- Support grain origination by helping procure grain from local producers and developing new accounts.
- Assist with producer communications regarding market trends, grain quotes, and marketing plans.
- Prepare purchasing contracts and help with rail billing and grain sales settlements.
- Gain experience in agronomy operations, including scouting, seed handling, and product delivery.
- Perform equipment maintenance and keep accurate records for inventory quality.
- Partner with elevator and office staff to ensure information flows accurately.
- Maintain a safe work environment that follows all company and local safety policies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Agriculture-related degree program, such as Ag Business or Crop Science.
- Previous internship experience.
- Strong communication skills and a detail-oriented approach to tasks.
- Previous knowledge or experience in agriculture is preferred but not required.
