About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship based in Valley City, North Dakota. You will work on-site during the Winter and Summer of 2027. You will gain hands-on experience in agricultural operations by working with experienced professionals to support local customers and facility needs.
What you'll do#
- Operate equipment including trucks, railcars, scales, dump systems, loaders, and forklifts for loading and unloading agricultural inputs.
- Monitor inventory quality and complete all necessary records.
- Deliver products like fertilizer, chemical, seed, and feed to customer sites.
- Perform regular equipment inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
- Maintain the warehouse and grounds, including housekeeping and facility upkeep.
- Provide professional service to customers and report any complaints or safety concerns.
- Follow company policies and government regulations to ensure safe and smooth facility operations.
What you'll need#
- A High School diploma or GED.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
- Ability to operate machinery such as tractors, conveyors, and track mobiles.
- Capacity to work extended hours during busy seasons.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and climb rail cars, ladders, stairs, and bins.
- Comfort working in dusty environments and various weather conditions.
- A valid CDL with Hazmat endorsement or the ability to obtain one is preferred.
- Forklift certification is preferred.
- Must meet the minimum age requirement.
