About the role#
This is a paid, full-time internship based in Shipman, Illinois. You will work on-site during the Winter and Summer of 2027. The role focuses on gaining practical experience in agronomy operations while supporting local agriculture.
What you'll do#
- Learn general agronomy skills including crop scouting, product application, and seed management.
- Handle mixing procedures, truck driving, and product delivery.
- Perform daily agronomy and seed operations.
- Monitor inventory quality and maintain accurate records.
- Manage facility cleanliness and organization.
- Assist with repairs and preventative maintenance for equipment like sprayers, floaters, conveyors, and trucks.
- Provide customer service and ensure all work meets safety and environmental policies.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in an Agriculture-related degree program, such as Ag Business or Crop Science.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
- Ability to operate machinery including tractors, loaders, and conveyors.
- Willingness to work extended hours during peak seasons.
- A CDL license and forklift certification are preferred but not required.
