About the role#
As a Quant Trading Intern, you will take on an impactful role mirroring that of a full-time Quant Trading Associate. You will participate in the day-to-day activities of our trading and quant teams, collaborating with software engineers, traders, and risk managers. This 8-week program is designed to provide insight into our business through project work, identifying trading opportunities, and structured learning.
What you'll do#
- Gain hands-on experience with trading and exposure to our trading technology.
- Participate in classroom learning experiences, including a Basics of Options class, mock trading, and a quant curriculum.
- Receive mentorship from members of the trading and quant teams.
- Meet weekly with your manager to track your progress and development.
- Engage in social activities and professional development talks with business leaders.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, or related fields.
- A demonstrated record of success in academics or other areas.
- Basic programming skills or a willingness to learn Python.
- Strong quantitative and analytical abilities.
- Ability to communicate sophisticated ideas effectively.
- A competitive drive and an interest in working within a collaborative team environment.
Location & details#
- This is an 8-week, full-time, paid internship located on-site in Chicago, Illinois.
- You must be available for the full duration of the program from mid-June to early August 2027.
- You must be willing to relocate to Chicago for the summer.
