About the role#
As a Summer 2027 CFO Advisory Intern, you will join our team in Charlotte to gain hands-on experience in the accounting advisory and consulting field. This role focuses on bridging the gap between academic coursework and real-world client situations. You will work alongside professional teams to address complex financial challenges and support our clients through various business events and transactions.
What you'll do#
- Support the performance of accounting advisory consulting engagements, including resolving issues related to events, transactions, and accounting policies.
- Assist project teams with complex engagements such as Mergers & Acquisitions, restatements, carve-outs, and technical implementations like ASC 842 or SEC reporting.
- Build productive working relationships with client personnel to understand their business needs and maintain a strong client focus.
- Provide recommendations regarding client accounting processes and procedures.
- Contribute to project quality control, including planning, fieldwork, and the composition of deliverables.
What you'll need#
- Current status as a junior pursuing a bachelor’s degree, preferably in accounting.
- A strong interest in pursuing a CPA designation.
- Curiosity about business operations and the impact of information systems on financial transactions.
- Interest in technical accounting, business intelligence, and process improvement.
- Ability to adapt to changing environments and manage project deadlines with attention to detail and accuracy.
Location & details#
- Location: Charlotte, North Carolina.
- Term: Summer 2027.
- Modality: This is an on-site, full-time position requiring 32-40 hours per week.
- Compensation: The hourly pay range for this role is $32.00 to $37.00.
- Eligibility: Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. We do not provide work sponsorship for this position.
