    About the role#

We are looking for a Technical Product Management Intern to turn product concepts into engineering-ready specifications. You will work closely with our product, life sciences, and engineering teams. While product briefs arrive with the goal and purpose defined, you will own the specific implementation details. You will determine how components fit into the existing architecture, what to extend, and what to leave alone. You will work alongside a life sciences team to understand the specific regulatory frameworks and workflows of the drug development process.

    What you'll do#

    • Break product briefs into components and define boundaries with domain experts.
    • Scope build requirements and write feature stories with acceptance criteria, edge cases, and state transitions.
    • Review data models and API contracts against our existing schema.
    • Define requirements for AI-driven features, including document extraction and regulatory classification.
    • Run specifications through review with engineering and life sciences teams.
    • Resolve ambiguity during the build process.
    • Work directly with founders and engineers to make pragmatic scope decisions.

    What you'll need#

    • A strong technical foundation, including the ability to read code and reason about system architecture.
    • A degree in Computer Science, engineering, or a related technical field.
    • Experience producing structured technical documents, such as design docs, architecture proposals, or research papers.
    • Demonstrated personal ownership of your work and the ability to explain your design decisions.
    • Fluency with AI tools like Claude Code or Cursor.
    • Sound judgment and comfort working through ambiguous problems.
    • Background in healthcare, life sciences, regulated industries, or AI-native products is preferred.

    Location & details#

    • This role is based in Los Altos, California, and requires fully on-site work.
    • The position is paid at a rate of $35 to $55 per hour, depending on experience and availability.
    • We are accepting applications on a rolling basis.
    • Semester or quarter interns must be available for at least 20 hours per week, while summer interns should be available full time.
