About the role#
As a Cage-Wash Operator, you will work within our Toxicology team to ensure animal housing equipment meets high cleanliness standards. This student position involves on-site training and does not require prior experience. You will be expected to work primarily during weekends and holidays, with full-time hours available during the summer.
What you'll do#
- Operate and perform daily checks on cage washer machines.
- Monitor soap levels and manage supply needs for the washers.
- Clean animal housing and accessories, including cages, toys, bowls, and water bottles.
- Perform basic maintenance on equipment to ensure animal safety.
What you'll need#
- You are organized and self-driven.
- You can handle physical tasks, including walking, standing, stooping, and lifting up to 20 kg.
- An understanding of written English is an asset.
- You must undergo an annual tuberculosis test upon hiring.

- Location: 1580 rue Ida-Métivier, Sherbrooke, Quebec.
- Modality: On-site.
- Compensation: 18.75 dollars per hour, with a 2.75 dollar per hour weekend premium.
