Master's Level Therapist Intern

About the role#

Centerstone offers a clinical internship for master's-level students during the Fall 2026 term. This placement provides hands-on experience in mental and behavioral health, allowing students to work with a diverse range of clients and diagnoses. This is an unpaid, on-site internship opportunity based in Smyrna, Tennessee.

What you'll do#

• Receive direct supervision and training from Centerstone staff.
• Conduct individual and family therapy sessions for clients receiving mental and behavioral health services.
• Observe and participate in various therapy services.
• Collect and manage client data.
• Assist with program duties to ensure smooth operations.

What you'll need#

• Currently enrolled in a master’s degree program in social work, psychology, public health, or nursing, and within your final year of study.
• Interest in gaining clinical experience with adults, children, and their families.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with data.
• Excellent communication skills.
