About the role#
Centerstone is seeking final-year master’s students for an unpaid School-Based Therapist Internship during the Fall 2026 academic term. This role provides graduate students with hands-on clinical experience delivering behavioral health services to children and adolescents in a school-based setting. Interns will work under clinical supervision to support students navigating behavioral, emotional, social, and academic concerns.
What you'll do#
- Provide individual, family, and group therapy services under clinical supervision.
- Support children and adolescents with behavioral health, emotional, social, and academic needs.
- Conduct initial assessments and assist in the development and maintenance of individualized treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation within required timeframes.
- Collaborate with students, families, school personnel, supervisors, and the broader treatment team.
- Participate in required supervision, training, and team meetings.
What you'll need#
- Must be a final-year master’s student in good standing, actively enrolled in an accredited graduate program in professional counseling or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Academic program must require or approve an internship or field placement.
- Strong interest in providing behavioral health services to children and adolescents.
- Previous experience in behavioral health, education, social services, or working with children and adolescents is preferred.
- Strong organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
