About the role#
CAS is hiring a Legal Intern for Summer 2027. This is a full-time, paid position based on-site at our headquarters in Columbus, Ohio. You will work with attorneys and paralegals on transactional legal matters, including commercial contracts and intellectual property licensing. Please note that this role does not include litigation support. The internship runs from May 17, 2027, to August 6, 2027.
What you'll do#
- Research and analyze legal topics such as software licensing, data privacy, intellectual property, and artificial intelligence.
- Draft, review, and revise contracts, including customer SaaS agreements, NDAs, and vendor agreements.
- Join departmental and cross-functional meetings regarding legal issues and business strategy.
- Partner with legal colleagues and teams across the company to support various business initiatives.
- Handle special projects as assigned by the team.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a rising 3L in an accredited law school.
- A strong academic record.
- An interest in business law and in-house counsel practice.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Excel.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
