About the role#
Carnegie Hall is hiring an intern for the Weill Music Institute to support Early Childhood Programs during the fall of 2026. This is a part-time position requiring 20 hours per week. You will work directly with the program team on initiatives such as the Lullaby Project, Big Note Little Note, Early Childhood Concerts, and Family Days.
What you'll do#
- Collaborate with the team to plan and carry out the 2026-2027 season of early childhood programming.
- Provide onsite production support for workshops, concerts, conferences, and recordings. This includes some evening and weekend work.
- Help compile and submit contract requests for teaching artists, performers, and project partners.
- Coordinate room bookings for events and workshops with the education and production teams.
- Handle daily office tasks such as printing materials, assembling event supplies, updating web pages, and managing data.
What you'll need#
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- A detail-oriented approach with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Interest in early childhood music programming and the needs of families.
- Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems on the spot.
