About the role#
Capstone Investment Advisors offers a ten-week Summer 2027 internship within our Risk Tech team. This program provides practical exposure to our working environment and the ways we measure and manage risk across diverse asset classes and strategies. You will support daily team operations while completing a project designed to address a real business need.
What you'll do#
- Analyze live trades to observe performance across historical and hypothetical scenarios.
- Break down trader PnL to identify primary drivers.
- Calculate firm exposure to key risk factors to understand the impact of market movements.
- Contribute to the team's ongoing daily activities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in or completion of a degree in a quantitative subject such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or Physics.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or C, supported by project or work experience.
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical colleagues.
- A proactive approach to problem solving, managing tasks from initial research through to final implementation.
- Intellectual curiosity, humility, and a strong commitment to ethical standards.
- A specific interest in technology and artificial intelligence.
- Prior experience in financial services or investment management is preferred.
