About the role#
CACI is seeking a Network Engineering intern for the Summer 2027 session. You will work 32 hours per week for a minimum of 10 weeks. This position supports a program focused on enterprise network modernization. You will work on-site at our High Point, North Carolina office.
What you'll do#
- Assist the engineering team with the design and support of network modernization solutions.
- Complete a group project that simulates customer network environments.
- Conduct research and gather data to inform project decisions.
- Identify risks, roadblocks, and potential process improvements.
- Complete tasks under the direction of a senior engineer.
- Provide general support to the engineering team.
- Deliver a final summary presentation on your projects and experience.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student in a relevant field, or status as a graduating high school senior with technical aptitude.
- Coursework background in data network communications.
- Technical knowledge of basic data network communications and computer operations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to collaborate with project managers, engineers, and technicians in a team environment.
- CompTIA Security+ certification or active pursuit of the certification with completion expected before the start date.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
- Strong oral, written, and presentation skills.
- Ability to travel to other CACI locations or customer sites as necessary.
- Ability to handle light materials, boxes, or equipment.
- A GPA of 3.0 or higher is preferred.
- Previous experience with network or cybersecurity internships, or military experience, is a plus.
