About the role#
This internship is a 3-month program for high school students graduating in June 2027. You will join our Agile Solution Factory team to learn how software is designed, built, and maintained. You will work alongside experienced mentors on mission-critical projects. This role provides hands-on experience in software development and offers the possibility of transitioning to a full-time position based on performance.
What you'll do#
- Learn and become certified in our ASF delivery execution model.
- Use AI tools and prompt engineering to support development processes.
- Work as part of an ASF product team to support teammates with tasks like creating user documentation and developing user stories.
- Participate in project activities such as sprint reviews, release planning, and software demonstrations.
- Explore how automation and new technologies are used in software delivery.
- Test features, identify bugs, and suggest ideas to improve existing software.
- Learn about data, cybersecurity, and systems architecture.
- Build your professional communication and collaboration skills.
What you'll need#
- Must be a U.S. citizen and at least 18 years old by July 2, 2027.
- Must be able to pass a background investigation.
- Currently enrolled as a high school senior and on track to graduate by June 2027.
- Strong interest in technology, problem solving, and software development.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Familiarity with computers and logical thinking.
- Willingness to learn programming fundamentals.
- Exposure to AI technologies, any programming language, or database tools is helpful.
- Experience in STEM clubs, coding competitions, or personal projects is a plus.
