About the role#
Byrne|Zizzi CPA, PLLC is hiring an Intern for the Winter 2027 term. This is a full-time, paid position based on-site in Tupelo, Mississippi. You will receive guidance while completing entry-level accounting tasks to support your professional growth.
What you'll do#
- Prepare and review client financial statements for clarity.
- Complete accounting engagements including write-up, payroll, and sales/use tax.
- Prepare individual federal and state tax returns.
- Organize and review tax information provided by clients.
- Prioritize tasks to meet deadlines and maintain firm quality standards.
- Communicate tax questions and issues to team members and clients.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Current Junior or Senior status in a Bachelor's degree program for Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
- Ability to learn and navigate new technology and software.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

- This role requires occasional travel to other office locations as needed.
