About the role#
Bybit is seeking a Golang Development Engineer Intern to join our backend systems team. This role focuses on building high-performance microservices and contributing to the infrastructure that powers our digital financial platform. You will work within a global team to solve technical challenges, optimize system performance, and ensure the reliability of our production environment.
What you'll do#
- Participate in the design and development of backend systems using Go for microservices.
- Analyze system bottlenecks to drive product performance tuning and architectural upgrades.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of common components, middleware, and frameworks.
- Collaborate with Frontend, QA, and Product teams to implement technical solutions and draft API documentation.
- Monitor live system performance, identify root causes of issues, and provide rapid resolutions for incidents.
What you'll need#
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Communications, Electrical Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, Cybersecurity, or related fields.
- Proficiency in Computer Networking (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, etc.).
- Familiarity with Golang and its concurrency models, including Goroutines, Channels, and Context.
- Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with databases such as MySQL and Redis.
- Strong bilingual communication skills in English and Chinese.

- Location: United States (Remote).
- Term: Rolling.
- Commitment: Full-time, 5 days per week for a minimum of 6 months.
- Compensation: Paid internship.
