About the role#
As a Mechanical Engineering Intern in the Water group, you will support the planning and design of facilities related to drinking water supply, treatment, and distribution. You will also work on wastewater treatment and stormwater management projects for government and industrial clients.
What you'll do#
- Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures to project tasks.
- Design standard engineering systems.
- Correct and update existing designs.
- Assist lead engineers with daily project duties.
What you'll need#
- Pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Current enrollment in an accredited post-secondary or technical certificate program (ABET accreditation preferred).
- A minimum 3.0 GPA is preferred.
- Prior internship or related consulting experience.
- Active involvement in campus, community, or volunteer activities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear verbal and written communication.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and a self-motivated approach to learning.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
