About the role#
Building Crafts, Inc. is hiring a Field Co-op to work on water and wastewater treatment projects. You will report to the Project Superintendent and foremen. The goal of this position is to gain the hands-on experience needed to eventually move into a role as a Project Superintendent or Project Manager. This is an on-site, full-time, paid position with a rolling term.
What you'll do#
- Maintain daily jobsite and production logs.
- Track records for deliveries, stored materials, and equipment hours.
- Assist with placing forms for footings, walls, columns, and decks.
- Coordinate with your crew to ensure successful concrete pours.
- Work with pipe laborers and millwrights on underground and process piping.
- Maintain company tools and equipment to ensure they are safe and functional.
- Participate in construction activities on-site.
- Attend meetings with subcontractors, engineers, and owners.
- Assist with estimating tasks.
What you'll need#
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or construction management. We may consider candidates with field experience in lieu of a degree.
- Prior internship or co-op experience is helpful.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage priorities and handle multiple tasks at once.
- Solid organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to stand, climb, bend, and kneel for long periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in various weather conditions and terrains.
