About the role#
This IT internship at Brose Group provides hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment. You will assist the IT team with daily operations, hardware support, and infrastructure projects while gaining exposure to plant-level technology systems.
What you'll do#
- Provide first-level IT support for hardware, software, Microsoft Office 365, mobile devices, and connectivity.
- Install and configure end-user devices such as PCs, smartphones, tablets, and printers.
- Manage IT requests and incidents through the Brose Service Catalog.
- Maintain accurate asset inventory records using BITS.
- Assist with basic network troubleshooting and documentation updates.
- Support technical projects, including Windows 11 migrations and wireless access point replacements.
- Learn about network and VLAN segmentation, device management, and plant IT infrastructure.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s degree program for Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Approximately two years remaining before graduation is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts like IP addressing and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Previous experience in technical support or customer service is helpful but not required.
