About the role#
The Run Perception team at Brooks is looking for a graduate intern to join our Footwear Product Development department. You will work onsite at our Seattle headquarters for six months to support research that informs the fit, performance, and design of our footwear. This role involves collecting and analyzing feedback from product testers to ensure our gear meets the needs of runners. You will gain exposure to the product creation process and work alongside internal teams to turn data into actionable insights.
What you'll do#
- Conduct internal and external perception testing for inline footwear and the sourcing team.
- Use graduate-level research skills to design studies and optimize testing procedures.
- Analyze data using Tableau dashboards and AI-powered tools to summarize wear test feedback.
- Compile and present scientific reports via PowerPoint to share findings with product teams.
- Build relationships with product testers and assist in managing the perception testing community social media account.
- Complete a capstone project under the guidance of your manager and present your final findings to senior leadership.
- Learn about athletic product design features and how they influence the feel and ride of a shoe.
What you'll need#
- A Master’s degree in biomechanics, kinesiology, exercise science, or an equivalent analytical field.
- Ability to commit to a full-time, 40-hour work week onsite in Seattle for six months.
- Strong quantitative skills with experience in data mining, report-building, and interpretation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Organizational skills and a detail-oriented approach to your work.
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Familiarity with the Brooks product line and competitors is preferred.
- Experience using AI for data analysis or brainstorming is a plus.
- Previous experience in product creation or running retail is helpful.

- Compensation: $33.00 per hour
