About the role#
As a Product Security Engineering Intern, you will work with our teams to evaluate the security of architecture, product design, firmware, and hardware. You will identify security issues and suggest ways to fix them. This role involves working across departments, including R&D, Quality, Manufacturing, and Regulatory teams, to reduce security risks.
What you'll do#
- Perform security testing, such as penetration testing and vulnerability assessments.
- Research security tools and technologies to improve our current capabilities.
- Write custom internal tools using Python.
- Review how security tools integrate into the CI/CD pipeline and create adoption guides for development teams.
- Develop security training materials.
- Engage in security research to help the team detect and classify system vulnerabilities.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment in a bachelor’s program for Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Security, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Systems Engineering.
- Graduation date no later than the end of 2025.
- Development experience with languages such as C, C#, C++, or Python.
- Familiarity with .Net or ASP.Net frameworks.
- Two years of experience in systems security administration, software engineering, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of IoT, hardware, and web applications.
- Experience using platforms like Hack The Box to develop penetration and vulnerability analysis skills.
- Strong communication, technical writing, and presentation skills.
Location & details#
- Location: Eden Prairie, Minnesota.
- Modality: On-site.
- Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week).
- Term: Summer 2027, with rolling start dates considered. Longer-term co-op engagements are optional.
- Compensation: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour.
