About the role#
As an Accounting Intern, you will work with the Corporate Controller and Government Compliance teams. This role provides exposure to corporate finance, financial reporting, internal audit, and risk management. You will gain hands-on experience applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and understanding how compliance functions support organizational operations. This is a part-time, on-site internship for Summer 2027.
What you'll do#
- Support the evaluation of complex and technical accounting matters.
- Research accounting standards and interpret guidance.
- Assist with the development of accounting policies.
- Contribute to financial reporting and compliance activities.
- Support audits and advisory engagements to identify operational, financial, and strategic risks.
- Analyze business processes and perform data analytics.
- Document processes and controls.
- Develop recommendations to support efficient business operations.
What you'll need#
- Scheduled to obtain a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics, or Information Systems by Winter 2027 or Summer 2028.
- Experience using Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Ability to document or analyze business processes.
- Knowledge of technical accounting, financial reporting standards, and GAAP.
- Familiarity with internal audit, government compliance, or risk management.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities.
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
