About the role#
Boone Health is hiring a Respiratory Therapy Student Assistant to work in a part-time, PRN capacity. This role offers flexible scheduling to accommodate your school commitments.
What you'll do#
You will perform respiratory therapy as prescribed, following all departmental policies and procedures. You will work with routine therapy equipment, such as oximeters, regulators, flowmeters, analyzers, and ETCO2 monitors. Your duties include assessing patient data to interpret their status and providing care that meets age-specific requirements. You will also maintain a working knowledge of hospital and respiratory care manuals and perform other duties as assigned.
What you'll need#
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Current enrollment in a recognized respiratory therapy program at the junior or senior level.
- Respiratory Care Educational Permit issued by the Missouri Board for Respiratory Care.
