About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship for the Winter 2027 term. You will work within the manufacturing engineering team at the Marcel-Laurin plant. This role operates on a hybrid schedule and requires you to be a current student, as it is not open to new graduates. Please note that you may occasionally travel outside of Canada for training or work purposes.
What you'll do#
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs.
- Identify technical problems, analyze data, and design recommendations.
- Guide and support employees in solving machine-related technical issues.
- Implement solutions based on your analysis.
- Manage part supply issues.
- Support plant operations during shutdowns.
- Handle various maintenance-related tasks and manage projects.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a mechanical or automated manufacturing engineering program.
- Familiarity with the industrial maintenance field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer systems.
- Strong written and spoken communication skills in both French and English.
- Ability to organize your work to meet daily deliverables.
- A proactive approach to improving existing processes.
