About the role#
Bombardier is looking for an Industrial Design intern to join the team for the Winter 2027 term. You will work on research and design projects to define new concepts for business aircraft cabins. This is a full-time, paid internship based in Dorval, Quebec. You will work in a hybrid capacity and may occasionally travel outside of Canada for training or work purposes.
What you'll do#
- Support new concept developments by evaluating technical feasibility and certification requirements.
- Create and validate cabin user scenarios using emerging technologies.
- Prototype and validate cabin architecture proposals.
- Fabricate physical mockups in a workshop environment.
- Monitor new technology and applications in aerospace and consumer tech.
- Support collaborations with universities and government organizations.
- Write technical reports to summarize project scope and lessons learned.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams including Industrial Design, Engineering, Production, and Marketing.
- Build proof-of-concept prototypes and test designs through direct iterations.
