About the role#
This internship provides an opportunity to support the Government and Industry Public Affairs team at Bombardier. You will gain exposure to legislative activities and public policy at the provincial, federal, and international levels while working in a hybrid environment. This role is open to current university students.
What you'll do#
- Support community affairs programs and team activities.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders across government and industry sectors.
- Monitor government policies and initiatives, providing concise summaries to internal teams.
- Conduct policy-oriented research projects.
- Coordinate logistics for industry events and site visits.
- Manage and process sponsorship requests.
- Organize meetings and prepare briefing materials.
- Provide general administrative support to the office.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a university program specializing in political science, public administration, international relations, social sciences, or a related field.
- Knowledge of the Canadian political system and the aerospace industry.
- Previous experience in the private sector or government relations.
- Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken.
- Ability to monitor news media for policy developments and organizational priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and SharePoint.
- Experience with MailChimp and Asana is considered an asset.
- Familiarity with social media platforms including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram.
