About the role#
This is an 8-month internship based in St-Laurent, Quebec, for the Winter 2027 term. You will support the Facilities Planning and Infrastructure Project Management team at the Marcel-Laurin plant. This is a full-time, paid position that operates on a hybrid schedule.
What you'll do#
- Define and understand client requirements and project priorities.
- Lead or participate in facility layout workshops with various stakeholders.
- Use AutoCAD to design floor plans for assembly lines.
- Balance the needs of internal customers with manufacturing best practices.
- Optimize floor layouts to improve employee safety and increase productivity.
- Estimate project costs and develop implementation schedules.
- Manage the planning, execution, and control of floor plant layout projects.
- Coordinate construction work and track progress with contractors.
- Communicate project updates across all levels of the organization.
- Identify problems and propose solutions to improve team processes.
What you'll need#
- Current enrollment as a 2nd or 3rd year student in Industrial, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering.
- Strong proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD.
- Familiarity with the MS Office suite.
- Fluency in French, both spoken and written.
- Ability to work effectively in a unionized manufacturing environment.
- Strong analytical skills and a collaborative team spirit.
- High level of initiative, professional ethics, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of Autodesk Inventor is considered an asset.

- Note: This role is open to students only. You may be required to travel outside of Canada for training or work purposes.
