About the role#
This is a part-time, on-site student position within the facilities department at Bob Jones University. The role involves physical labor to maintain the campus grounds throughout the 2026-2027 school year.
What you'll do#
You will assist the grounds staff with daily upkeep and emergency response. Tasks include:
- Landscaping, hardscape maintenance, and irrigation work.
- Tree work on the ground.
- Cleaning streets, sidewalks, and general campus areas.
- Clearing trash and debris.
- Cleaning and dusting reachable exterior building windows and doors.
- Cleaning and waxing exterior fixtures.
- Responding to storm damage by clearing and opening paths, which may include working through the night.
- Lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs and pushing or pulling up to 100 lbs.
What you'll need#
- You must be enrolled as a student at Bob Jones University.
- A valid current USA driver's license.
- A willingness to perform manual labor.
- Availability for a minimum of a 2 hour work block per scheduled work day.
- Note: This position is not suitable for individuals with severe allergies.

This role is based in Greenville, South Carolina. It is a paid, part-time position with a rolling term.
