About the role#
This is an 8-month internship position for the Fall 2026 term. The role focuses on risk data analytics, where you will transform raw data into actionable insights to support business decision-making. You will work within the Risk Data team to design reporting solutions, optimize data processes, and facilitate the use of analytics tools across the organization.
What you'll do#
- Identify trends and patterns to answer business questions and provide insights.
- Build reporting dashboards using data extraction, cleaning, and visualization techniques.
- Translate business needs into technical specifications and evaluate existing systems for improvement.
- Document data flows, systems, and processes to enhance design and management.
- Develop tools and deliver training programs to support non-analytical users with reporting and self-serve analytics.
- Work with stakeholders to enhance the usability and aesthetic appeal of analytics solutions.
- Apply the Risk Management Framework to ensure all decisions align with business strategy and policy.
What you'll need#
- Enrollment in a post-secondary degree program related to Data Science, Business Administration, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering.
- Foundational proficiency in data visualization, data storytelling, and data mining.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
- Typically 1-2 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Familiarity with Python, REST APIs, and RAG workflows is preferred.
