About the role#
This is a full-time, paid internship position for the Fall 2026 term. As a Business Analyst within the Risk Data group, you will work primarily on-site in Toronto, Ontario. You will support the team by transforming raw data into actionable insights, designing intuitive visualizations, and improving the systems used for risk reporting and decision support.
What you'll do#
- Build reporting dashboards using data extraction, cleaning, and visualization techniques.
- Identify trends and patterns to answer business questions and provide actionable insights.
- Translate complex business needs into technical specifications and evaluate existing visualization systems.
- Develop tools and deliver training programs to support self-serve analytics for non-technical users.
- Document data flows, systems, and processes to improve design and implementation.
- Work with analytics professionals to scale analysis into repeatable solutions.
- Apply the bank's Risk Management Framework to ensure all work aligns with regulatory standards and business strategy.
What you'll need#
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, or Finance.
- Experience with Python and familiarity with SQL.
- Proficiency in technical design optimization and data visualization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate complex data findings clearly through verbal and written channels.
- Experience building AI-related workflows and capabilities is preferred.
- Typically 1 to 2 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
